ABOUT

The House Of Creatives is a creative platform focused on exclusive, niche experiences that center around collaborative performances and producing compelling media content. These distinct experiences allow the artists involved a unique opportunity to collaborate with other creatives in a magical, raw environment.

The HoC headed to a remote location about 30 minutes outside of Austin, TX to give musicians and bands performing during SXSW Festival a chance to escape the madness on 6th st. The HoC Austin 2013 was an experience for entertainment industry executives, mid to upper-level creatives from varied industries, celebrities, culture creators, thought leaders, musicians and taste aggregators. The event ran its course over 4 days and featured music performances, interviews and collaborative sessions. All media was captured on video was edited daily in realtime for media distribution. Set on a private Austin estate, The HoC Austin 2013 offered incredible experiences not found anywhere else during SXSW.

MY ROLE

My roles included curating and booking all artists featured across the 4 days and securing time slots and scheduling for all artists to arrive at the mansion property. This also included contractual agreements between booking and management agencies. 

Once on site, I managed 6 additional employees: 2 sound engineers, 2 video editors, and 2 cameramen in which we filmed 2 professionally mixed songs of 3-4 bands per day across 4 days. We also accompanied the live track recordings with interview videos featured at a local resort establishment giving an incredible backdrop for video production.

To give the band's fans an in depth look at this unique event, we mixed and mastered 1 song, completed post production video editing of each band, and released these videos within hours of the actual recording. We were able to gain realtime traffic through social media efforts, and a strong SEO return based on our location and timing of SXSW Festival in downtown Austin.
